Hello guys,
a friend of mine who needs a new network design called me for his install.
He has a bar (a lot of people connecting to WiFi)
ADSL Modem (~10/1) in bridge mode.
I will get for him an UAP-AC-LR and a UAP-Outdoor+.
Those will be in a guest vlan
As for router, I usually use MT devices for that, but in this case I am thinking to give ubnt and specifically ER-X a try.
What I need is some help in setting qos for this case. There will be a lot of guests connected at night and the uplink will be saturated in no time.
In MT I have been using PCQ for this kind of setup. I read a bit on Fair Queue but don't feel comfortable yet.
I need to set some Qos for the guest vlan (open to suggestions) but also reserve (when uplink is saturated) some bandwidth for the Laptop DJ uses.
mgmt lan: 192.168.199.0/24
guest vlan: 192.168.100.0/25 (vif 100)
laptop: static 192.168.199.10/32 (also the unifi controller) (guaranteed bandwidth 768k/128k)
