Hello to all - New user here and have zero experience with CLI, so everything is done via GUI. Any pointers to help me resolve my issues would be appreciated. I was a CCIE for almost 20 years, so the networking concepts are not an issue, but old age may be setting in - and my familiarity with edgeOS is very much lacking right now.
I have a hub location, with two remote site-to-site VPNs, all running 1.7.0.
One of the spoke locations continually drops the VPN. It does not seem to loose any internet connectivity, just the VPN to the hub location. It may only stay down for 2 minutes, other times for hours.
All the internet addresses are static.
Here are my questions:
1) I want each 'spoke' location to be able to send traffic to each other through the 'hub' location. I have added the additional subnets on the VPN tabs for all the routers, but it doesn't seem to work. Do I also need to put static routes in the routing tab?
2) How do I troubleshoot the VPN? How do I see logs? I do not have a syslog server at these locations.
3) How long does it take edgerouter to re-establish a VPN? How does it detect that the VPN is down, and when/how does it re-establish?
