Hi!, got a friend I converted to the EdgeMAX world and he's having some problems migrating from his current setup.
He's using and ER-X (fw1.9.0) and a Comtrend AR-5387un (ADSL2+ Modem) configured in bridge mode.
In his previous setup he used a debian computer to do the routing of the modem (PPPoE connection) while still using the modem as switch and wifi ap all through one ethernet port. However he can't get this same setup working with the ER-X.
- If he configures a port for PPPoE, this port gets removed from switch0 so he can't use the modem as switch+AP
- If the adds the PPPoE port to switch0 again, the PPPoE connection stops working.
He found a temporary workaround by using two ports of the ER-X and modem, one for the PPPoE connection and one in switch0 for the rest of traffic. This solution is not ideal because he needs to use all the ports available.

Does anybody have a clue if this could be setup in some way so one port does both the PPPoE connection and switching?
