I'm about to deploy a multi building network with an AirFiber AF5 bridge between the two and am not 100% confident of my methodology. Mostly because I've never touched an EdgeSwitch and am not confident that I'm getting something wrong.
Simple Topology:
Fiber in -> Sopho UTM Router ->
EdgeSwitch Lite 24P:
----------------->24-port unmanaged switch
----------------->24-port managed PoE switch
-----------------> Network Video Record + IP Cameras
-----------------> AirFiber 5 wireless bridge to another Airfiber 5 -> and then ?
At this step, I'm not sure whether to connect the AirFiber to:
-An EdgeRouter or directly into the 48 Port 500W Edgeswitch which all other network devices will be connected to
Considerations:
-If the AF5 units loose connectivity even briefly, all devices on the other side of the bridge could loose their DHCP reservations causing more cascading problems than their should be. I'm not sure if the EdgeSwitch has internal DHCP server capability or whether I should put an EdgeRouter between the two so I can achieve this.
-The AF5 bridge network will have 18 VoIP phones and 20-30 users + their devices
Does anyone have experience with this sort of deployment?
