Hello I am about to purchase the ERLITE as I think it will do what I need but I wanted to verify.
I have FTTH and where it comes in it needs to be split over to the TV portion and my home LAN portion. Currently I just use a small 5 port Netgear gig switch with one cat6 over to the DVR appliance and the other to my home router and various s
My thought would be to either buy this one and configure eth1 for LAN and eth2 for the TV and then put the 5 port Netgear switch on it and take it from there.
Is this possible? Another option would be for me to get an 8 port Ubiquiti router and do the same without the 5 port Netgear router, wondering how much faster that would make my gig home speeds go?
Currently have two more 8 port (4 port Poe) Netgear managed switches as well as another 8 port Netgear managed non Poe switch in the mix so I am still doomed with that still just figured since the 5 port is the oldest and simply just splits the incoming traffic I should remove it.
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.
