Reading more and more through the forums, I realize I probably am as Newbie as they come here; I mean, I don't think I know anything it seems so I could really use the help...
As it says in the subject, I have Uverse with an older Pace 300 series Gateway. I currently have an Airport Extreme as the router, configuring it already in DMZ+ mode instead of the Gateway doing that work. I am using a Unifi UAP-AC-Pro as my AP.
This setup works fine, but I want to swap out the Airport Extreme for the EdgeRouter X I just bought instead. I was able to access the ERX like you are supposed to (direct ethernet connection to eth0; accessing it at 192.168.1.1), but when I did the Basic Setup Wizard, rebooted and hooked it up to the internet at eth0, I couldn't log in again at 192.168.1.1 any longer. Reading some of the responses here, I tried the idea of changing things to log into the ERX at 192.168.2.1 (something other than 192.161.1.x basically), but that didn't work either (same results).
So I don't know what I am doing wrong or what to do. And as someone with very basic knowledge of all this but who is good at following directions, is there anyone who could walk me through step by step what I need to do to get this all to work?
