My current setup
Cisco Rv042(192.168.17.1): four lan ports connected to four Unifi AP(192.168.17.2,.3.4.5)
The reason i have four aps is because i have about 100 chromebooks that connect to them wirelessly
Cisco gets its internet from a switch ( ethernet cable to internet port on the cisco)
The cisco is configured as a gateway ( that is what it says on the web portal)
The switch gets its internet via a underground fiber optic cable from another building( bulding 1).
I wanted to replace the cisco rv042 with the edgerouter pro, because the cisco sucks at handling dhcp. It chokes and chokes and there is random connectivity issues.
Please note there is another cisco in the building 1 where the fiber starts..the ip is 192.168.16.1
Please be easy on me as i am a novice 
I would like to setup the edgerouter the same way as the cisco
so i can simply plug in the 4 unifi ap to the edge router ( eth1-4 ports)
and also have the edgerouter do dhcp for the chromebooks. ( range of 192.168.17.1-192.168.17.250)
I have tried setting it up but everytime i connect the ethernet cord from the switch to the eth0 of the edgerouter...there is not internet connection ( when i test it from the eth1)
Any help would be much appreciated
