I've got an Edge Router Lite running the newest firmware (1.8.5 I think?). Anyway I was using Eth0 as my uplink and had a switch plugged into Eth1 to other devices connected. Eth2 was setup on a different subnet from Eth1 and was not used (not bridged).
I had a lightening strike and it cooked the Ethernet port on my cable modem that Eth0 was connected to as well as Eth0 on my ERL. I was prepared to trash it as that interface is totally cooked (it always thinks it is plugged in and active at 10 megabit half duplex with nothing plugged into and plugging in a computer results in the computer not seeing any sort of connection at all). However the other ports on the router work fine. Can I repurpose Eth2 as my uplink port? If so, how? That would be awesome, I could return the new ERL I just bought.
