I have a non-standard setup, where my router is hidden from the internet by our ISP-middle-man.
They have an A-class publicly visible IP address and they fraction the use to a number of households; the short story is there is no wired broadband where I live, so we rely on over-air internet (decent average speeds when I work ... 65Mb up/25Mb dow). Though latency can suffer when the netflix crowds start streaming. But I digress.
I upgraded my ERLite-3 firware to v1.8.0 and followed this awesome write-up: https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/205231350-EdgeMAX-How-do-I-troubleshoot-port-forwarding-DNAT-issues-
My interfaces are as follows:
admin@ubnt:~$ show interfaces Codes: S - State, L - Link, u - Up, D - Down, A - Admin Down Interface IP Address S/L Description --------- ---------- --- ----------- br0 192.168.1.1/24 u/u eth0 172.16.2.128/24 u/u WAN eth1 - u/u LAN eth2 - u/D LAN2 lo 127.0.0.1/8 u/u ::1/128
I have gotten my middle-man-ISP to port forward port 6100 (from their setup to me). And I followed the instructions it the write-up.
But I also have Firewall rules and thought maybe they are interfering. (I can post if necessary, but they have '0' counts in their stats)
Anyway, I have been unsuccessful in getting the port forwarding to connect. And if you musty know, it's for my plex-server :-).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
