Hello again everyone. Coming to the community for guidance on where to start with VLAN based QoS for VoIP.
Currently running on an ER PoE5 for my network. Keeping things simple so we have the main network on eth0 and a VLAN for VoIP on eth0.2. I also currently have SmartQueue QoS enabled on eth1 (my WAN interface).
I've seen the article here for VoIP QoS. Have not done that yet as, from what I can tell, a lot of the things specified in the tutorial don't match up with what 8x8 is telling me to do in their tech specs. (PDF).
In any case, because of how I'm choosing to set up my network, I was wondering if there was a good way to tell the router that any traffic on VLAN2 takes precedence over everything else.
I found this article on Brocade which seems to be laying the groundwork for what I want, but I feel like I would have to apply these policies after establishing them and I'm not quite sure how to do that.
I also read through this thread from last year, but it seems like the conversation petered out without any solution being found. Does anyone have any insight into making this happen?
