Hi all,
Had a power loss here at home tonight. Everything rebooted just fine, but now none of my static hosts seem to be working. I had my backup server mapped to "server.example.com" and the edgerouter itself mapped to "router.example.com". Both of these were working fine before we lost power. Now neither of these addresses will ping or load in-browser as they used to. I've tried deleting the entries, re-adding them, reloading dnsmasq, checking and double checking that the DNS is set to the router, and pretty much every other solution given online.
Every time I try to ping these addresses or browse to them I get "unknown host." It's driving me mad.
I'm out of ideas and I can't seem to get this to work. Granted I know very little about the low-level networking stuff that this uses, but I'm doing the exact things I did before the restart and this time it's not working.
Do I just need to wait for the DNS to update for my PC? I've flushed them through ipconfig and rebooted everything multiple times, but nothing is working. I'm three steps from throwing the router at the wall at this point.
