I'm new to the Ubiquiti Edge devices and am looking at setting up an EdgePoint R8 to control a bunch of AC Rockets for client internet access. Ideally I want to provide two customer options:
ISP is connected to a switch inside our organization. ISP provides x number of static IP's that work via this switch.
Customer Option 1:
Customer subscribes to basic internet service with NO Public Static IP provided.
This is simple enough and I've got it figured out and working. For those that might as, I've configured a public IP on the eth0 (cabled back to our ISP switch) and using the basic setup wizard, configured the standard firewall and routing. I then configured a new DHCP pool and VLAN 100 for these customers.
I'm using Nanobeams as CPE's. Configured a VLAN 100 and bridge2 on the device. Bridge2 is configured with LAN0 and WAN100 as members.
Customer Option 2: This is where I need the help.
Lets assume VLAN 110 will be customers that want a STATIC IP.
I've run a second ethernet from the ISP switch to say eth3 on the EP, and configured/tried VLAN 110 on this port.
I need to pass traffic through the EP back to the ISP switch but is has to end up as untagged VLAN1 or it doesn't work. I've looked at configuring the switch with the same 110 VLAN but that doesn't work with the ISP.
I can pass thorugh untagged vlan1 traffic fine, but I need to configure the CPE bridge as default straight through LAN0 WAN0.
One idea I had was that I could move the management VLAN to something other than VLAN1, but I wanted to see if anyone from the community might have some thoughts on this.
