guidance please - EdgeRouter PoE5 - best wireless strategy for small LAN?

Hi.  Recently purchased an EdgeRouer Poe5 - it works great.   Now I want to add wireless capability to a small home. Are there any speciifc advantages/benefits to going with a Ubiquity AP like the Unifi AP Light vs. some other manufacturer's AP like a Linksys WAP?  In other words, are there management conveniences, security, or pure perfomance reasons to run a Ubiquity AP with my EdgeRouter?
