Ok, fought with this last night for 3 hours & no go. Seems like the simplest thing anyone would ever want to do with one of these things.
We have static IP range from comcast of 96.91.xxx.80-85.
When NOT in bridge mode, the comcast gateway has an outside address of 96.91.xxx.86.
According to the cc gateway wan page, it has a wan default gateway of 68.36.xxx.1.
All we wanted to do was get traffic flowing.
We set the cc box to bridge mode,
We ran through the WAN+2LAN2 wizard, set:
Internet Type Static IP:
Address: 96.91.xxx.85 / 255.255.255.248
Gateway: 96.91.xxx.86
DNS Server: 75.75.75.75
Checked the box for Enable default firewall
LAN: Left everything default 192.168.1.1, etc.
After applying the wizard changes, no internet. What we don't understand, is where does the 68.36.xxx.1 "wan default gateway" apply to all this? What am I missing? It's so simple, but it just doesn't work.
