Hey guys, I apologize if this is obvious, but I am stumped. My WAN traffic (specifically transmit) is periodically going through the roof, sometimes to 300-500Mbits (no that is not a misprint...I dont even understand how that is possible as I have a 60/10Mbit Comcast connection) and LAN traffic is minimal. Here is a screenshot of interface. Can anyone explain to me why WAN traffic can be multiples above LAN traffic? Where is all that traffic going? It seems to me like all of those packets are just originating from the router as there is no data being pushed from LAN. Also, this screen shot was slightly after the WAN spike, but these spikes are lasting 30-300 seconds, and CPU usage goes to 100% on the router. I am running EVERYTHING out of the box on the router, and there is only one LAN port used, and a ubiquiti switch.
