Sustained uploads drop internet connection

Has anyone heard of this before? By drop, I mean I have to power cycle before being able to connect again.

I've isolated the problem down to my EdgeRouter X router by ensuring that straight to the cable modem works fine. Around 18K seems to be the tipping point. I've attempted going to Google Drive and OneDrive and on both LAN and WiFi and they all cause the drop. I have a Wireshark capture and start seeing a LOT of "TCP Dup ACK", "TCP Retransmission", and "TCP Spurious Retransmission" messages before it just gives out. I noticed it immediately after setting up the router while testing the router speed using speedtest.net. My network would drop during the upload test and I thought it was just a passing problem. I'd be happy to upload the Wireshark capture if that would help anyone.

I've had the Mediacom support guy out and the modem and cabling is fine (as demonstrated by it NOT dropping when my computer is hooked directly to the cable modem).

The router as has been factory reset multiple times and it's a pretty straight-forward configuration.

Any advice?

Thanks,

-M
