Cant Login to ubiquiti edgerouter lite with browser

Hi

Bit of a newbie to Ubiquiti products but quite knowledegable in networks.

Just picked up a project with a ubiquiti edgerouter lite which is the gateway for the LAN on IP address 192.168.1.1

The LAN is connected to eth0

The WAN connection is plugged into eth2

There is nothing connected to console.

I can connect to the edgerouter lite using putty on port 22 at 192.168.1.1 so no problem with that , however the router was set up by someone else  12 months ago and I am unable to connect to the Edgerouter using a browser at 192.168.1.1 to use the GUI interfaces. ( tried http and https )

I cant reset the router as there is some setups that I'd struggle to recreate at the moment.

Obviously I can ping 192.168.1.1 and the internet connection works perfect on the LAN.

Any suggestions ?
