Hi,
today I was moved to the new platform (BNG preparation) of the german provider Telekom.
Since the switchover, I'm periodically getting these kind of entries in the ppp_pppoe0.log:
root@router:~# tail -f /var/log/vyatta/ppp_pppoe0.log rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x8b d8 9c 21 8b 0c 28 03 fd 00 00 7f 06 72 7b 50 98 d0 9e 11 f8 92 29 d6 f7 00 50 53 a7 d8 3b 4c 58 ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xd89c rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x8d 00 bd 25 36 ac 1e 28 73 73 00 00 7f 06 03 26 50 98 d0 9e 11 f8 92 08 d5 b8 00 50 01 39 6a 8d f6 ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xbd rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x8f c0 71 15 23 69 01 06 fc 00 00 63 04 64 9b 3d a4 d0 9e 11 f8 92 08 d5 b8 00 50 01 39 6a 8d c6 7e ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xc071 rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x91 c2 7a 45 8e 0c 30 a2 78 a0 41 c8 06 67 9d 50 98 d0 9e 3e 9c d1 6b b1 0d 00 50 8e 28 ac 9d b2 1b ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xc27a rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x92 00 c5 9f 8e 99 a1 1a a3 58 40 00 3f 06 67 2d 50 98 d0 9e 3e 9c d1 6b 9b d2 00 50 0b 0a 4c 75 fc ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xc5 rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x94 80 29 4d 62 24 2c 6c ab 00 00 7f 06 b0 5d 50 97 b1 53 4c f8 97 03 cb 60 00 50 6b 3e 49 32 71 67 ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 'Appletalk Control Protocol' (0x8029) rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x96 e0 01 d7 a3 1a 28 04 bc 00 00 7f 06 18 4d 50] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0xe001 rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x98 88 22 66 ca 8d 35 58 3d 40 00 3f 06 16 e4 50 98 d0 9e d8 3a d3 31 cf 88 01 bb 6e fc ac d3 40 4c ...] Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol 0x8822
The only difference I see from the provider side is that the new platform assigns me also an IPv6 subnet beside my fixed IPv4 address (here is a paste from the customer control panel):
Ihre Internetverbindung wird immer mit diesen IP-Adressen aufgebaut. Sie können bei Bedarf zu den IP-Adressen einen Reverse DNS-Eintrag vornehmen. IPv4: xx.xxx.xxx.xxx IPv6 (Öffentlich/WAN): 2003:000a:xxxx:xxxx:0000:0000:0000:0000/64 IPv6 (Kundennetz/LAN): 2003:000a:xxxx:xxxx:0000:0000:0000:0000/56
Could it be that the available IPv6 subnet is responsible for the growing error messages in the log?
Any idea how I can get rid of these errors? Apart from the error messages the PPPoE works fine (I'm just using IPv4 with a fixed address)
