OSPF or Static Routes. Two Routers + Two Buildings + One WAN

I am working on ramping up my network.

Currently we only have one router (in building 1) that performs all L3 duties for both buildings.

I'd like to distribute the routing responsibility by installing a router in building 2. Our WAN gets brought into our core switch via VLAN 900. Is this scenerio best served with OSPF or static routes? My thinking is to use VRRP to designate building 2 router as the master gateway for building 2 subnets and building 1 router as the master gateway for building 1 subnets. Building 2 router would serve as the slave for building 1 subnets, and building 1 router would serve as the slave for building 2 subnets. Basically, either router could fail and traffic would still flow around the network.
