Hey everyone,
i need help with an edgrouter issue. Im new to edgerouter so forgive my ignorance on some of this. I have a dual wan setup. Wan 1 (eth0) is connected to DSL via pppoe. WAn 2 (eth2) is connected to cable modem with static ip. I have this set up as a load balanced implementation. Everything works fine until i disable WAN2 and then clients lose internet access. Im sure this is a DNS issue because i can ping IPs on the internet but cannot ping out to internet with names. My clients are assigned DNS 1 as the edgerouter itself. If i set 8.8.8.8 as the dns on a client then internet access works.
So for some reason the edgrouter will not process dns requests via the pppoe wan link when wan 2 goes down.
Anyone seen this or know how to fix it?
