EdgeRouter X - Config for Split into 4 Subnets (1 per Port)

Dear All,

I am quite new to all this and figured, that after 10 hours of trial and error and web-search without any working solution I might ask you Pros out there.

This is for a small "home-config", where I want to separate 4 Subnets using the ER-X.

The wizard allows me to separate 2 networks:

  • Network 1 using Eth1 (1 Port)
  • Network 2 using combined Eth2-Eth4 (3 Ports)

This does'nt help me much, as I want to separate 4 subnets.

I want to set up my network as shown in attached picture:

Each Port on the ER-X should connect a separate Subnet, that has it's own IP-Range with automatic IP-allocation. This is, as far as I understand, possible by enabling an DHCP for each Port.

All 4 subnets (right side of pic) should not be able to communicate with eacht other.

Though all devices connected to any of the subnets should be able to access the WAN (Internet).

Internet access is provided by an PPPoE-Modem (FritzBox 7390) with the IP 192.168.2.1.

The Fritzbox is also running a DHCP for devices, that are directly connected to the FritzBox. All these devices should be accessible with a request coming from any of the 4 subnets.

Though the other way round should be blocked - no device from the "outside" of the subnets (WAN, FritzBox) shall be allowed to access devices in the subnet(s).

Does anybody have a config-file or a "How-To-Do"-formula for me, to get this up and running?

I'd be very delighted!!

If anything I wrote doesn't make sense => Tell me Man Wink

P.s.: Yes, I know I set up a "bottleneck" in the direction of the FritzBox, but the bandwith of the internet is the limiting factor, not the bandwith between FritzBox and ER-X. And "crosstraffic" from any device out of a subnet to devices connected to the FritzBox is fairly uncommon!
