My apologies if this has been addressed in other post. Please point me in that direction if another exists, but I could not find one.
Setup: Microtik WISP > WatchGuard Router > EdgeSwitch 500W (fv. 1.5.0) >via 1G SFP> Edge RouterX (configured as switch on all ports, fv. 1.9.0) > 8 port dumb switch with 6 SCADA devices.
Issue: Network traffic overloaded ports between ERX and ES via SFP ports. Could not VPN into system and access network devices due to very poor ping times 4000+ms.
Temporary Resolution: Locally power cycle ERX and switch to Power Beam connection instead of fiber. Currently connection traffic is
Question: Are there any special settings for us to configure in Spanning Tree? We didn't think this would cause problem since the ERX was configured as just a bridge link and switch.
