I have followed this guide for a PPTP VPN with local authenication on my ER-X. Setup all seemed to go well, I've added the 2 rules to the WAN_LOACL ruleset (see attached screenie). I can connect with my Android device (using the system built in client) while off site using the static WAN IP and I can connect with my Win 7 computer while on site using the ER-X's LAN IP but I cannot get my Win 7 off site computer to connect using the WAN IP. I get error 807.
When my Android device connects to the VPN, the ER's ruleset stats show packets and bytes on the ACCEPT TCP port 1723 rule and 0 data on the ACCEPT GRE rule. When my Win7 device connects to the VPN, the ER's ruleset stats show 0 data on the ACCEPT TCP port 1723 rule and 0 data on the ACCEPT GRE rule.
Can anyone throw a VPN novice a few pointers?
