I want my ER POE5 to feed a 24 port switch on Eth 1 and my three Unifi AP's on Eth 2 - 4.
I used the WAN+2LAN2 wizard (firmware 1.85) and find that Eth 1 is on 192.168.1.1 and Eth 2, 3, 4 are on 192.168.2.1. But I want my UniFi AP's to be in the same range of IP addresses and the devices on Eth 1
I have read on the forums that you can bridge Eth 1 with Eth 2 - 4 but some people say there is a performance hit...others say this is not an issue with the ER POE5.
So my questions come down to this:
1. What is the best way to get Eth 1 - 4 on the same IP range?
2. Is there a performance hit with bridging this particular router?
3. If there is a hit, how much? And does it affect ALL the ports or just 2 - 4?
4. And most basic...where in the EdgeOS interface is that bridge switch?
