I upgraded my ERL to 1.8 and I'm seeing regular spikes of CPU from the process ubnt-util. I flashed back to 1.7 and it went away, now back to 1.8 and it's back.
CPU usage of this process spikes to 50% every few seconds and runs for a second or two. CPU time is 20+ mins in under 5 hours uptime. DPI enabled or disabled doesn't appear to make any difference.
I didn't see this behaviour in 1.7, is there anything I need to do here or is this normal for 1.8?
Edit: I figured this out myself. It's the data captured as part of traffic analysis. If DPI is disabled and the data is cleared (or allowed to eventually expire) the CPU spikes go away. So, this must be as a result of the extra data that is captured since DPI was extended to non offloaded traffic in 1.8.
