Very new to this forum and this equipment brand. I configured my Edgerouter X in the following manner:
ETH0 - WAN (Obtain IP Address from ISP)
ETH1 - LAN - DHCP Enabled
ETH2- LAN2 - DHCP Enabled
What I wanted to do was place this router after my ONT but before my existing router provided by my ISP, and then use my second LAN (ETH2) to provide service to my tenant's suite. Everything seems to work the way I wanted to as far as architechture, but for some reason my TELUS TV while watching TV Channels (Seems to work fine for VOD for some strange reason) cuts out after about 15 seconds.
Question 1
Can I Make ETH1 a SWITCH to ETH0 that simply allows my ISP Provided router (plugged into Eth 1) pull an IP address from my ONT plugged into ETH0? While at the same time making ETH2 a Switch to ETH0 that will also pull its own IP from the ONT?
If I do that, how will I be able to log back into the EdgeRouter in the future (it would have an ISP provided IP Address).
Or,
Does someone know why the Edgerouter is interupting TELUS TV traffic and know how to resolve that? (Because it works exactly the way I want it to work if it didn't interfere with my TV Service.
