Recently I got an ERPro-8, ES-48-500W, ES-16-XG & a few UAC-AP-PROs for my SOHO. I'm slowly migrating away from my legacy SOHO, which consisted of an ASUS RT-AC3200 & a couple EOL D-Link switches.
One of the first things I noticed is that there doesn't seem to be a DNS server built into the ERPro-8. One of the things I loved about my ASUS RT-AC3200 was that it ran a local DNS server and it would automatically setup DNS records using the host's client IDs when they registered with DHCP.
I currently don't have local DNS on the new network - and the ERPro-8 just forwards DNS queries up to OpenDNS for me.
I've setup bind and ISC's dhcpd in the past - and that's the solution I was looking at going with again. Just wanted to check - am I missing something here? Any configuration or solution recommendations anyone would share?
