Hello All...
In an effort to try and get VoIP running on Cisco SPA122, I have a question regarding MAC spoofing on an outgoing interface.
On my ER8, eth0 is the outgoing interface to my ISP. It is using the default MAC, and hooks via DHCP happily. The only way I can get VoIP running, is to use the ISP supplied modem/router that is hooked into my internal network on VLAN50. The VLAN part is just my network, and not a VoIP specific setting.
What I would like to do, is spoof the ISP router's MAC to the ETH0 as a test.
My question is what will happen if I use the DHCP server (on the ER8) assigned to VLAN50 to give an IP for MAC xxxxxxxxxxx for the ISP router and also use the same MAC on ETH0..??
I hope that makes sense.....
Cheers...!!!
