Hi All,
Running EdgeRouter ER-8 (1.9 firmware) with static IP from cable provider.
Have 10 Grandstream phones using OnSIP VOIP provider.
Calls drop after 1 min most of the time, inbound and outbound. And by drop I mean completely disconnect.
OnSIP is saying the standard stuff, check that SIP ALG is disabled which it is on the router. Other than that, they have no advise for EdgeRouter. The cable modem is in bridge mode with static IP. No firewall or anything there.
We have no ports opened in DNAT but the OnSIP setup says we dont need it? Is this true? I mean, some calls work fine. Others drop. No ascernable pattern.
I went as far as to create a completely seperate subnet on a vlan so that the phones would be isolated from the rest of the network. This made no difference at all. I even went and fas as to use seperate physical interfaces for each subnet on the edgerouter. (Access ports on the switch for each vlan) Again it made no difference.
We tried the SmartQueue QoS, and then disabled it later.
I should say that the phones don't drop calls if I bypass the edgerouter by putting them directly on the internet as a test.
Here is our config: (also attached)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
