Help a noob. 1gb connection dropped to 70mbs

I picked up the ERL over the weekend to replace my ASUS RT-N66U. I have 1gb symmetrical fibre from Starhub in Singapore. The n66u would max out at around 850mbs down and 780mbs up.

I put the EdgeRouter Lite in place, upgraded to 1.9 and followed the Wizard to setup WAN2LAN2 for now. After some dhcp mappings, turning on upnp and a couple of other basics it was connected up.

The erl was maxing out at about 80mbs down, less up. Ping times to the same speedtest server went from 3ms to 13ms. I pulled the ERL, dropped the n66u again and we were back to 850mbs.

The erl went back in but sir no improvement. The shard QOS rule I had was terrified and I'm now getting arrive 115mbs down but that's it.

Can anyone suggest what I should try now? I'll not great at CLI but I'm a gun copy and paster with a grasp of line editing.

tl;dr
I swapped an old ASUS for an ELR and my speeds have dropped down to 120mbs from around 850mbs on the Asus. Can anyone tell what I should look for?

TIA
