I am looking at the ER8 (not PRO) to replace our existing DLink DSR500n router which takes over three minutes in boot up time to claim an outside WAN comnnection. We are using a remote network that uses a remote IP switch that recycles power daily and looks for loss of IP throughout the day. The maximum wait time to look for a connection is 2 1/2 minutes at which time it recycles again. We are using a single WAN non VPN setup. Can I get an idea on the average boot up time for this device to stablize and be connected?
