The logs were rolled over on the day of the upgrade, but no new logs are occuring.
Also, remote logging has stopped.
I'm not sure what's going on with the local logging, but the remote logging seems to be blocked.
A telnet from the router to the logging server just hangs:
# telnet 10.0.0.11 514
However, the same command given from any other machine on the network gives this response:
# telnet 10.0.0.11 514 Trying 10.0.0.11... Connected to 10.0.0.11. Escape character is '^]'.
It's like a firewall is blocking it now, but nothing was changed except the upgrade to v1.9.0 from v1.8.0
running the configuration check returns:
# rsyslogd -f/etc/rsyslog.conf -N1 rsyslogd: version 5.8.11, config validation run (level 1), master config /etc/rsyslog.conf rsyslogd: End of config validation run. Bye.
