ERL, Bridge and later routing

Hi all.

We're a small wisp, and have decided to change from a bridged network to a fully routed one. I am currently using Egderouter Lite 3 as our main ruter and I was adviced to also use ERL3 at each tower. The "plan" was to put them all in bridgemode, and work my way back to the noc. The actual routing must be done/enabled later without long downtime.

I put 4 new units on the workbench, updated them to fw1.9.0 and set them up as borderrouter, corerouter, backhaul-tower, tower with AP. The ranges in use today is 192.168.1.1/24 (stupid, i know) and 172.16.10.1./24 and they must be forwarded through all new ruters until actual routing can begin from customer side.

The test-setup is having wan connection from a separate network so that i'm not making trouble if/when I mess up, and the new border-router is supplying the same settings and ranges as my current main router. All tower-routers are supposed to have eht0 upstream with eth0, eth1 and eth 2 in bridge in the start.

I'm meeting some problems bridging the ERL's. When bridging all ports I cannot give eth0 a static ip-adress, and if I first give a static ip to eth0 then later I cannot bridge it with eth1 and eth2. Firewalls are turned off for now.

How can I do this in the best way?
