Hi all

I'm very new to the ubiquiti range. I've purchased a EdgeRoute pro 8 to use in our office.

I'm testing it out now to see how well it behaves and wanted to see if you guys can help with the first inital query I have....

Our office has 5 departments...All of whom are treated as seperate offices. ie,  different subnets and should all be segregated. This is why i thought the edgerouter would work well. Each eth0-5 ports will be configured with a seperate IP subnet and connect to its own switch to serve each office.

eth0 - WAN Internet/fibre connection in

eth1 - 192.168.10.1/24

eth2 - 192.168.20.1/24

eth3 - 192.168.30.1/24

eth4 - 192.168.40.1/24

eth5 - 192.168.50.1/24

Q1...Currently, no matter what network im on, i am able to ping the other lan's IP...eg, when im plugged into eth2, i can ping 192.168.10.1, 30.1, 40.1, 50.1 and vice versa on all other ports....How can I turn this off so each lan is totally independant...and is this something worthwhile turning off and something i should do?

Q2...How can I load balance these networks. We have a 100mb pipe in, and i want to assign 20mb to each office. Can somone please advise how i can do this - USING THE GUI if possible please.

Q3: When i was configuring the LAN, it asked me for starting ip, and range of ip and then the unifi controller IP...I do have a cloud hosted server running my cloud controller for our wireless APs (unifi), can i add this router/lan info also into my cloud controller?

If anyone has any other tips, tricks that could help me learn the product that would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
