Hello, Im looking for some more information on these fields here. Im trying to set up a GRE tunnel between two edgeRouter Lites on separate networks over two different internet connections with static IPs. Ive found some guide articles, but the descriptions are a little vague and Im somewhat new to tunnels in general. Could someone help me understand the fields here? Are the Local and Remote IPs supposed to be external IPs or internal?
My end goal is to allow multicast between these two routers for an IP phone used to monitor a gate at the secondary location. I feel like I've been all over the internet on this one, but havent found my answer. Is a GRE tunnel the best solution to enable multicast traffic from one location to another? Is it easier than I am making it out to be? Am I just missing the right firewall command? I enabled GRE protocal on my WAN_Local rule set, and after I set up the tunnel like these pictures show I can ping from one router all the way to the other side of the tunnel, but cant ping the second router or any devices inside the router's network.
