Edgerouter X with ddwrt routers under it connected to the internet

Hello all. I am stumped as to how to set this up correctly. I've tried searching for what I am looking for but end up more confused than how I started, mainly because I don't think other people want the same result.

What I want to do:

Modem --> Edgerouter X --> DD-WRT Wireless Router (E1000) & DD-WRT Wireless Router (R7000) --> Computer(s)

I want a separate/isolated LAN for each ddwrt device (so they can't talk to each other), each getting an internet connection from the edgerouter. The purpose is because I have the R7000 doing passive openVPN for its clients, and the E1000 is just a normal internet connection with no VPN using my given comcast IP.

If I plug in a computer directly to the edgerouter, I am able to access the internet (using the WAN+2LAN2 wizard). However, my ddwrt device that I have been testing this on doesnt seem to be getting a connection, possibly due to incorrect IP addressing -I dont know.

How do I setup the edgerouter to send/forward the public IP it gets from my modem to both of the ddwrt routers? Can I do this with IP addressing? Or some type of port forwarding? Or put each ddwrt router in a DMZ from the edgerouter?

The following is a picture of my desired topology:

Thanks
